Mrs. deborah spencer, Principal
Message from the principal......
I would like to begin with a special thanks to all parents, grandparents, faculty, and staff for the fantastic start to the 2019-2020 school year. From our teachers to our support staff, I could not ask for a better effort ensuring every child felt welcomed when they walked through the doors on the first day of school. It's the strength of the partnerships that we form together as a school family that will enable us to ensure that every child is successful and that the best is yet to come.
There are a few procedural items listed below of which I would like to remind parents. As always, I encourage you to stop by my office , email, or call with any questions....my door is always open.
*Please remember that Pioneer Park is now a 100% "ID School." Every person who enters the building is required to present an ID in the office. This allows us to effectively use our Raptor Management System and provide a safer learning environment for all of our students.
*Parents are no longer allowed to walk their students to class in the morning. All students should report to the auditorium when the doors open at 8:40 a.m. each morning. Our goal is to help students develop a sense of responsibility while also eliminating distractions to the learning environment.
*If you need to schedule a conference with your child's teacher, please call or email them to schedule a time.
*please be watchful when leaving the southeast parking lot at dismissal time. That is an extremely busy intersection and we need to be doing everything possible to prevent an accident from occurring.
In closing, I would like to share a quote from an American author and educator Helen Keller that best exemplifies one of our most important core values at Pioneer Park, "Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much." Moving forward, it will take a collective effort from administration, teachers, support staff and parents to ensure that the unique needs of all our students are met. Please join us in making the 2019-2020 school year a success.
Yours in Education,
